Paper Guidelines

The purpose of this assignment is to explore an issue associated with the student’s evolving roles as advanced practice nurses.  The scope of this paper will include the historical development of the issue, a review of the current literature pertaining to the issue and implications of this issue for future practice.

Students will be required to submit a refined “draft” of their paper to an assigned peer no later than Sunday, September 17th at 11:59 pm.   Papers are to be emailed to the peer reviewer in a “.doc or .docx” format via the school email AND placed in the course dropbox entitled “Issues Paper for Peer Review.”  Failure to also place this first draft in the dropbox by this due date will result in a 10 point deduction in your “Peer Review of Advanced Practice Nursing Issue Paper” grade. The peer review completed by your peer (see “Peer Review of Advanced Practice Nursing Issue Paper Guideline and Grading Rubric” will then be returned to you (and the instructor) no later than 11:59 pm on Sunday, September 24th.  The student should utilize peer feedback to revise the manuscript in preparation for submission of the final paper.

Students will submit a formal research paper using APA guidelines which includes all of the required paper components. The paper should be between 8-10 pages double spaced (not including the title or reference pages) and is due in the course dropbox no later than 11:59pm on WEDNESDAY, October 11th.
